Senior Pastor- Rev. Tim Maynard

Rev. Tim Maynard has served at Grace Church since November of 2005.  Over that time Grace Church has seen steady growth while seeing major changes in the church.  Pastor has been married to Ellen Lundgren Maynard for 23 years. They have three Children, Chelsie, Michael and Bethany.

Tim is a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College with a BA in Psychology and completed the Ministerial Course of Study and was Ordained in May 2010.

The Maynard's have served in various churches up and down the East coast from Maine to North Carolina as Worship Pastor, Youth Pastor and Administrative Pastor.  Tim is passionate about helping people live out a life completely sold out to God, giving him their all, and loving others to Christ.

Church Secretary- Chris Cantwell

Steven and Chris Cantwell have been attending Grace Church of the Nazarene since June 2006.  Married for 16 years and former residents of Florida, Steven is a retired police officer and fire fighter and now serves as a corrections officer.  He also volunteers as the church custodian.  He has 2 daughters, Kristen a Captain in the US Army and Stephanie who resides and works in Texas.  Chris is a long time nursing supervisor, now retired and currently is volunteering as our church secretary.  Together they enjoy the companionship of Bailey, their Labrador Retriever, along with Sammie, Zoey and Ivan their cats.

Life verses:

Steven:  Isaiah 52:12 "But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard."

Chris:  Psalms 94:18-19  " When I said, "My foot is slipping", your love O Lord, supported me.  When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul."

Worship Director- Thomas Golden

Thomas and Janel Golden have served as Worship Leaders at Grace Church since 2007. Residing in Waverly, NY with their three children (Sophie, Kaleb & Josiah), Thomas is on faculty at Cornell University and serves as the Associate Director of the Employment and Disability Institute while Janel is a Special Education Inclusion Teacher at Elmira City Schools. Thomas directs corporate worship activities at Grace Church including regular services, Grace Chorale and coordinates the extremely talented group of musicians that make up the worship band—Janel Golden, Todd Garrity, Alex and Aaron Stiles, Michael Maynard, Meggan and Adam Nugent and Jordan Winderl.

Encouraging the development of and embracing a lifestyle of worship is what we are all about at Grace Church. Romans 12:1 paints a perfect picture of what our worship as believers should be…”Therefore, I urge you brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and please to God—this is your spiritual act of worship” (NLT). The Message puts it even more plainly for us, “So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.”
